Friday, September 12th was the 23rd Annual United Way Day of Caring.
All around the country volunteers are heading out into their local communities to donate time to local charities and make a difference. The United Way Day of Caring was established in 1991 to encourage local volunteer work and increase awareness. Volunteers can be found in helping in non-profit organizations and schools across the region.
This year, Pilot Media has partnered with the United Way of South Hampton Roads to help two fantastic local charities, Meals on Wheels and the Good Mojo thrift store benefiting ForKids. Thirty seven Pilot Media employees were out lending a hand to our local community including 12 with Meals on Wheels and 25 at the Good Mojo Thrift Store.
Good things happen when you give!
